I just had the pleasure of performing my comedy hypnosis show for Papillion La Vista South Post Prom, and once again, I was reminded why I still love doing this after nearly 30 years on stage.
There are few things more fun than a room full of high school students, late at night, running on sugar, adrenaline, formalwear, and whatever mysterious energy teenagers seem to manufacture internally.
Scientists should study it.
Actually, no. They would quit.
Post prom hypnosis shows are their own special kind of magic. The students are excited. The energy is high. The room is ready for something different. And then I get to walk on stage and do what I’ve spent most of my life doing:
Take a room full of people and turn it into an experience they will talk about for years.
One of the things I love talking about during my hypnosis shows is that hypnosis is not weird, dark, mystical, or spooky.
It is natural.
You move in and out of hypnotic states all the time.
You experience it when you drive somewhere and suddenly realize you barely remember the last few miles.
You experience it when you are so absorbed in a movie, book, video game, sport, or conversation that the rest of the world seems to disappear.
You experience it every night as you drift toward sleep.
That is part of what makes stage hypnosis so fascinating. I am not “controlling minds.” I am helping people focus, relax, imagine, respond, and play.
Which, frankly, is much harder than controlling minds.
Have you met people?
Hypnosis is only a small part of what I do.
Most of my work now, especially in my keynote speaking and writing, revolves around the deeper themes I keep coming back to:
Failure. Focus. Flow. Fulfillment.
Those are not just nice words to put on a slide while everyone quietly checks their email.
They are the real process.
You fail.
You learn to focus.
You enter flow.
You find fulfillment.
Then life knocks over your little emotional Lego tower and you start again.
That is the human experience.
Whether I am performing for high school students at a post prom, speaking at a corporate event for 800 people, or writing about the hero’s journey, I keep returning to the same idea:
People are capable of far more than they think, but only when they learn how to direct their attention.
That is what hypnosis demonstrates in a funny, fast, unforgettable way.
Athletes understand this.
A great free throw shooter is not just moving their arm correctly. They are managing their focus.
A golfer standing over a putt is not just thinking about mechanics. They are regulating attention, breath, pressure, confidence, and imagination.
A performer, speaker, boxer, juggler, magician, or hypnotist is doing the same thing.
The body follows the mind.
The mind follows the story it is telling itself.
That is why focus matters.
And that is why I love bringing these ideas to students, schools, conferences, leadership events, and corporate audiences across the country.
A post prom hypnosis show is designed to be hilarious, safe, high-energy, and unforgettable.
A corporate keynote has different goals.
But the underlying principle is the same:
Get people engaged. Get them laughing. Get them watching. Then give them something useful to take with them.
That has always been my philosophy.
People listen best while watching.
Facts tell. Stories sell.
And laughter is still the shortest distance between two people.
That is why my presentations blend comedy, hypnosis, magic, mentalism, storytelling, and practical ideas about performance, resilience, focus, and personal growth.
Because nobody needs another boring presentation from someone hiding behind 74 slides and a laser pointer.
The laser pointer has suffered enough.
I have been doing hypnosis shows for almost three decades.
That means I have seen almost everything.
Students convinced they are world-famous dancers.
Volunteers laughing so hard they can barely stay in character.
Audience members looking at their friends on stage with the expression, “I am absolutely recording this for future blackmail.”
But the best part is always the same:
People let go.
They participate.
They take a chance.
They become part of something larger than themselves.
That is the real show.
Not the hypnosis.
The willingness.
I perform across the country for schools, post proms, colleges, corporate events, conferences, leadership retreats, and organizations that want something more memorable than another “motivational talk” that feels like a protein bar with a microphone.
So yes, if you are looking for a post prom hypnotist in Nebraska, a corporate keynote speaker, a conference entertainer, or someone who can make your audience laugh while also giving them something real to think about, I would love to help.
I am based in Nebraska, but I travel nationwide.
And I bring the good stuff:
Comedy.
Hypnosis.
Mentalism.
Magic.
Story.
Focus.
Flow.
Fulfillment.
And occasionally, proof that teenagers are somehow both exhausted and indestructible.
Here is a short clip from my recent Papillion La Vista South Post Prom hypnosis show.
This is the kind of energy I love bringing to the stage: funny, interactive, surprising, and rooted in the deeper idea that focus changes everything.
Whether you are planning a post prom, school event, corporate conference, leadership retreat, college event, or private celebration, I would be honored to bring something amazing to your audience.

Book Amazing Arthur while you can.
Because once people realize I can make an audience laugh, think, focus, and possibly believe they are professional dancers, my calendar tends to fill up quickly.
And honestly?
That is a pretty good problem to have.

Whether you’re booking a comedy show, a motivational talk, or a special event, Arthur delivers unforgettable moments filled with laughter and insight.
