The Road is Calling (and We’re Answering with Juggling Clubs)

The van is packed, the yo-yos are lubed (is that a thing? let’s say it’s a thing), and the GPS is currently programmed for... well, everywhere.

Jack and I are officially hitting the pavement for a summer tour that spans from the golden coasts of California to the rolling hills of Iowa, the wide-open plains of Kansas, and right back here to our favorite corners of Nebraska. If there is a summer school with a stage or a daycare with a carpeted multi-purpose room, there’s a high statistical probability we are currently headed toward it.

What to Expect (Besides Confusion)

We aren’t just bringing a show; we’re bringing a mobile circus of skills that probably should have taken us a lifetime to learn, but we’ve condensed them into one hour of high-energy chaos. This summer, audiences are getting the full Amazingly Fantastic treatment:

Juggling: Gravity is more of a suggestion than a rule.

Yo-Yo Tricks: We’re doing the "DNA," the "Trompo," and a few moves that haven't been named yet because we’re still surprised they worked.

Card Throwing: Think shuriken, but with the Ace of Spades. (Don’t worry, we bring our own band-aids).

Dice Stacking: It’s like architecture, but much faster and noisier.

Attempts at Comedy: We say "attempts" because, honestly, Jack is funnier than I am, and I’m still trying to process that.

Why We Do It

There is something special about the energy of a summer crowd. Whether it’s a group of kids at a daycare seeing a "DNA" yo-yo trick for the first time or a packed house in CA, we love the "how did they do that?" look on people's faces.

But more than the tricks, it’s about the partnership. Traveling the country as a father-son duo means we get to share the stage, share the snacks, and share the occasional argument about who left the juggling clubs in the hotel lobby.
